Inuktitut coming soon.
This manual offers games, books, activities, and songs that support a child’s language development. It is written for parents and caregivers, but many of the resources work equally well in a community centre or classroom.
This manual provides opportunities to connect and spend quality time with your child as they learn Inuktut. Choose activities based on your child’s interests and be flexible if something isn’t working. When you keep encouragement and respect at the heart of your interactions, your child will feel valued, motivated, and confident to learn and grow alongside you.
This manual is accompanied by six books designed to help your child practise their learning and start reading independently. The syllabics and letters that appear in each book have been carefully chosen. This thoughtful sequence helps your child build reading skills step by step and gives them the tools to read entire books all by themselves!
